ICF Italia panels
ICF ITALIA system consists of modular panels with size 120 × 52.5cm, made of high density sintered expanded polystyrene used to build self-supporting “disposable formwork”, by inserting the appropriate internal spacers.
Once assembled, by means of simple construction site operations, these formworks allow the construction of load-bearing walls made of reinforced concrete or “lightly reinforced” concrete, (in compliance with DM14 / 01/2008) already insulated, with variable transmittance values, depending on the thicknesses, from 0.130 to 0.235 w / m2, with thermal shift between 10 and 18 hours, and with an attenuation factor less than 0.030.
ICF Italia panels are available with insulation thicknesses ranging from 6 to 15 cm and with a concrete septum thickness of 15, 20, 25 and 30 cm. The particular conformation of the joints at the ends prevents the concrete from spilling out and improves stability during the pouring phases. ICF Italia panels can be produced with white or gray colored polystyrene, same for internal spacers.
The structure of the new ICF ITALIA panels, which is the result of recent evolutions and updates to the new construction standards, is such as to comply with all the requirements set by current regulations (in Italy and in Europe) regarding energy saving, anti-seismic safety, acoustics and well-being. To this end, note the conformation of the internal spacer, the only one capable of positioning the reinforcing rods in accordance with the new technical standards on constructions (DM14 / 01/08), while ensuring at the same time anti-seismic safety and durability of the reinforcing rods.
The modularity of the panels (120 × 52.5cm) has been specially developed to allow the reduction or even elimination of scraps on the construction site. The thermohygrometric and acoustic features of ICF ITALIA panels are shown in the table below. The materials that make up the ICF formworks are certified and EC marked.
